PINK and PEARLS!!! FIFTY and FABULOUS!!! Those words depict the absolutely over the top 5oth birthday bash I attended this week for my friend Lorraine! I first met Lorraine during my junior year at The University of Connecticut when we were selected as Freshmen Orientation Leaders for the summer. OMG, what fun we had and how little sleep we got during those seven crazy weeks! Anyway, about a zillion years sped past and Lorraine and I lost contact, until last Spring when I got an email from her telling me how she had just seen me on one of my appearances on “Better Connecticut”. I immediately called Lorraine and we had a great time catching up. During out chat, she mentioned that she was having a milestone birthday in the fall and asked me if I would create a special cocktail for her big day. Of course, I said YES!!!
